Lets Talk Food...Girl Let me put you on Pt.1

السلام عليكم ورحمة الله وبركاته أختي  مرحباً

                                                                       Welcome

Let's Talk Food… Girl let me put you on Pt.1

South Philly  was where I spent the first 10 years of my life. Growing up my neighborhood was very diverse, filled with many different cultures. There were Italians , Asians , Mexicans, Indians ,Africans ,and white Americans. I'd like to think a lot of my outgoing , kind hearted, and extroverted personality was shaped here. With such a mix of cultures in the community you know what that means …. A variety of different food spots too. So today I wanna put you on sis this gem of a restaurant one I frequented quite a bit this past year. Located just a few blocks north of my old middle school this restaurant is called Saffron Patch: Authentic Indian Cuisine. The food here is packed with flavor, spice , and is just plain olé good. This place being halal and vegetarian friendly was a perfect pick for me. Sometimes I like a good vegetarian / vegan moment too. I started to become a regular here so much so the waiters remembered me and my order. They were always so courteous , polite, and  attentive. The environment is music- free and the dining area was seldom ever crowded (Sn: they do always seem to be very busy with the take out orders). The bathrooms were very clean and the decor was stylish , and well  the food was Amazinggg! My first time dining I was accompanied with my sister , cousin , and little baby nephew.   For our appetizers we started with some samosas followed by the chicken 65 (my little sisters favorite) , with garlic cheese naan , and butter chicken  The Chicken 65 is basically chicken sliced and fried and coated in this spicy , semi sweet sauce topped with fresh cilantro and served with rice. The Butter Chicken is chicken roasted and tossed in a creamy tomato sauce. Though the first time we didn't get to really enjoy the full dining experience because my nephew was teething ,but the food was actually pretty good even reheating at home. I also  I tried on a separate occasion the Indian Buffalo wings (sweet with a kick of spice) , Garlic Shrimp , Yahkni soup (my favorite ),Mulligatawny Soup (lentil soup with fresh herbs and lemon, which was delish of course) and my absolute favorite the Lamb Pasanda paired with the Garlic Cheese Naan. One thing I really liked was you can choose your level of spice in some of the dishes or just simply opt to have none at all. The lamb Pasanda is tender lamb cubes  in a creamy almond sauce with spices. The rice was nice and fluffy and the portion size was great enough for two people or you could take some to go as well. Overall I enjoyed my experience. Great food , vibes , and great service. 10 outta 10 would recommend.

Thanks For Reading Sis*
